Engine Repair Questions? We’ve got Answers!

Browse our Frequently Asked Questions or call 859-268-3000 and we will be happy to discuss your vehicle concerns.

Q: Why is my check engine light on or flashing?

A: Your vehicle’s check engine light indicates the vehicle is in need of service. A flashing check engine light means the same thing and should and should be promptly serviced to hopefully prevent a more substantial issue with your vehicle.

Q: My car was serviced but the check engine light is still on. How do I turn it off?

A: If the issue was recently repaired, the check engine light will likely go out on its own. If the check engine light does not turn off, you can bring it back to Glenn’s Freedom and our technicians will diagnose the issue.

Q: My car is running rough, but the check engine light is not on. Should I bring it in?

A: If the vehicle is not running smoothly as normal, you should bring it in to be serviced, even if the check engine light is not on. Our Certified Technicians can still likely diagnose the issue that is causing the vehicle to run poorly.
